Anthony I cannot wait to report my findings. I'm sitting here with the garden tilled and ready just chomping at the bit to plant. But I've learned the hard way not to put any plants in the ground til the 1st of May. Being in the mountains the frost tends to get them.

Always a great service to others to give results from side-by-side growing done all in the same season. Because of space limitations the results of my trials-and-errors occur over different seasons so never know whether differences in how one variety did vs. another were because of weather or the variety itself.

I'm aching just to see what's happening under the 15 inches of snow left in my backyard, jealous that you're tilled and ready to act!

AT, you only have 15 inches of snow? Hah! I can't even believe there's a garden out there! And I'm pretty sure we won't be planting here in Montreal before the end of May, first week of June.

Patty,
Yes, Zheltyi Gigant (traslated as Yellow Giant) is from me. Midseason, indet. RL (H 1-1.5m), bright yellow globe/oblate 150-350 g sweet fruit. Nice sweet taste. Russian CV from seed vendor Sedek.

Thanks Andrey, I planted two seeds and both came up....not bad for older seeds! Now that I know it is Zheltyi Gigant...it is in Tatiana's database! http://t.tatianastomatobase.com:88/wiki/Zheltyi_Gigant
