Default Seedling Dropping Leaves

I have about 100 seedling that were off to a great start. They are currently in DE and are about 5-6" tall and have a fans blowing on them gently most of the day.

I noticed a day or two go that some of the bottom leaves (true leaves not cotyledons) wilt slightly and then just fall off. It's as the whole branch just simply detaches from the plant. There isn't really any discoloration or apparent trauma to the stem. The upper leaves look fine. The only thing I have noticed to that the stems sometimes seem to have a slight whitish color inside them. It only noticeable with the lights on. The color of the stem when the light hits it is not uniform though the outside of the stem seems fine diameter wise.

They look funny with nice leaves on top (1-3 sets) and just a long stem below.

Any ideas what might be going on?

I'm not familiar with growing in DE so my questions may not apply. Are you fertilizing them on a regular basis? Have they been allowed to get too dry at any time?

Are they getting adequate light?
