Bill:

I believe they now sell the same back pack sprayer on Amazon calling it a Hudson SP2 sprayer. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 $141 plus S/H.

It is as least very similar to yours. I bought one and have been using it for a month now. It has the brass commercial grade spray nozzle, 4 gallons, 180 psi. I absolutely love it! Moving from a 1 gallon, low pressure sprayer to this has taken the task of spraying multiple large plants from a huge whipping, to totally doable! I love not having to refill, but, most important is the higher pressure. It appears to be a much finer mist of a spray and it covers thoroughly and quickly because of the high psi!

It's probably just our much more friendly weather this year, but, between doing some pruning (probably should be doing even more) and using this sprayer, I've kept disease almost completely at bay so far, knock wood. I've removed leaves in contact with the ground, but, so far, early blight (a constant, but not awful disease) is losing the battle!

Thanks so much for your many helpful, practical tips! I would not be where I am but for your generosity of sharing your the benefits of your experience.

My earthtainers are crushing it this year with more fruit already set than ever before for an entire season. My in ground plants are huge, lush, blossom covered and setting a little bit. Hoping to get a bunch set over the next week or so. They are always a little behind the tainers, mostly due to hours of sunlight issues I think, but those have resolved as the earth wobbles into summer mode.

Dewayne, thank you for finding this. It sure looks exactly like my sprayer except it says Hudson on it. I'm going to order one because there is just no way mine will keep going much longer and I don't want to be caught without one when I need it and who knows how long this one will be available. I used to order only Hudson sprayers directly from the company because even using the two gallon pump sprayers it made a real difference having a quality product with brass wands and tips. I wonder if they bought the company.

I used to have a sprayer for my ATV, when I was in OK. It had a hand wand and ran on a 12V pump. I loved it for all sorts of things from spraying horses and the entire barn to spraying fruit trees.
It had another version with two arms which would have been really nice for fertilizing larger areas.
Anyway, just a thought for anyone with a small tractor,ATV or similar vehicle.
