early blossoms
I've been growing tomatos for a few years now , but never had this problem-my transplants have been in the ground now for 3 weeks, they are about 18" or so tall, and some are starting to put out blossoms, a few have tiny tomatos --should i nip thses off, or let them grow??

Better Boy,
I never nip off flowers when my plants are in the ground. With the breezy weather of late, we've had extremely good pollination in the garden. My plants have been in the ground for about the same amount of time as yours, and I have many fruit on my plants and lots of blossoms. This is a good sign that I'll have an early harvest this year. I went out and took a couple of pics of a couple of tomato plants that have fruit developing. dpurdy |

I don't even take off the blossoms that appear before putting transplants in the ground...so my vote is to keep 'em.Not a problem!

Why would you want to nip them off?

It's June! Let them grow, those are your first and maybe best or even only tomatoes in a bad year. The plants will keep growing as long as they get what they need. Enjoy them

Leave them on. I had one set in the window seal, and ate it in a BLT yesterday.
