Some of my beefsteak varieties are putting out trusses like that. Very disturbing...most won't pollenize, I hope...I prefer 3 to 5 per truss to get half-decent sized fully formed tasty fruits. I have sunsugar but no trusses quite that prolific!! Would love to see the finished product.

This past weekend several much-anticipated megablooms began opening. Here's one on a Domingo (4.55 Wahl 2012) vine:

Lots more at:

Having lots of trouble with Western Flower Thrips apparently consuming pollen before the flowers even open. Just hoping that a couple of these megablooms will set fruit!

I am following one mega bloom from bloom to finish to see what happens. It is growing super fast and looks like it wants to be a big one. Come have a look

Well the good news is my 48 flower truss set 37 fruit. The bad news is that my garden is plagued with tomato spotted wilt virus and i had to yank the plant. Its one of about 30 plants that have fallen victim to the viruses evil ability to destroy my tomato dreams. Everyday i pull 2-5 plants for the last week or more. Darn thrips!!!!!!!!!
