Blossom end rot or something else?

I have a couple of tomato plants (cherokee Purple and Juane Flamme) that have something going on with a handful of their fruits. It starts out with some light brown spots/speckles on the blossom end, then the area around and between the spots turns light brown then gets progressively darker. It doesn't really look like the photos I've googled of blossom end rot, but maybe it is? I'm a new gardener so I'm just not sure. Any insight would be appreciated!

It looks like the beginning of BER and your description fits that. Sometimes certain varieties experience that in the beginning and then it stops. It can be caused by different factors. Keep watering your plants evenly so they aren't too wet or get too dry. What is your growing medium and are you growing in ground or in containers.

I am growing in containers, specifically Earthboxes filled with ProMixBX, my fertilizer strip is a 5-10-10 synthetic, and I have been giving them 1 tsp Calcium Nitrate down the watering tube once a week.

Are you spraying anything for disease prevention?
Anything showing on the leaves?
Look up bacterial speck or spot. Hopefully it isn't....

it is bacterial speck. Not fatal...treat correctly.

The plants are huge (around 7 feet tall) and overall look very very healthy, but there is definitely something going on with lower leaves (all the affected leaves are on the bottom 2 feet), I have attached a pic of one of the worst looking leaves, but mostly any affected leaves only look like this around the edges, as when I notice them I immediately pick them off. I have on occasion sprayed the diluted bleach solution I have read about on here, and have alternated Daconil and copper (Bonide liquid copper fungicide) sprays a few times, but not on a regular basis by any means, and my last spray (the copper) was probably 2 1/2 weeks ago.

Bleach spray - Were you dealing with mold?
Copper can help with Speck. Read your product label and see what it says.
