does anybody know or grow this tomato?
I would like to try it but read contradictory descriptions about this variety. Some say it is flavorless, others say it is juicy and tasteful.
what can you tell me about it?

I can tell you that I recognize the name, but have never grown it.

It originated with Tania who has the wonderful data base for tomatoes who also posts here, but her site is not opening for me now, so I'm linking to a Google search for it and there are many links there that should possibly help.

Tania's site just opened up and here's her page for this variety and note that there's a red and a Peach one as well, noted at the bottom of her page;

From what you've posted it's clear that you've done some searching as well, but perhaps some of the links in the Google search may still help/

If anyone here has grown it that would help, but would be just one other opinion about it, as you know.

Carolyn, who, when she has a variety that seems to be quite rare and finds opposing opinions, goes ahead and grows it anyway since not everyone grows tomatoes the same way, varieties can perform differently in different locations, different soils, different seasons, different amendments, differing tastes, which are both personal and perceptual, so lots of variables. I guess she's saying to go ahead and grow it.

Yes, I know who Manfred is and one accesses his site off Reinhard Kraft's site and I've known Reinhard for almost 20 years now and we trade seeds each year.

I hadn't looked at Manfred's list in a long time so it was kind of going down memory lane since many of the varieties I first introduced, and it took me a long time to get to #628 where i saw this variety listed,

I thank you so much for offering me seeds, but I see tania is also listing it as well and she's a long time friend, so I could get them from her if I thought they would work for my next annual seed offer here, but space is a problem for the folks who do seedsaving for me.

Let us know how this variety does for you next year.

And I hope you continue to read and post here for there are others from France here as well and all reports and comments from everyone,especially our overseas members are very welcome here//

Thanks again,

Carolyn
