MO Pink Love Apple
Larry,
A superb "oldie" which has been around since the Civil war when Grandpa Barnes grew it as a novelty ornamental since maters were thought to be poisonous back then. MPLO was collected by George Jennings from Waverly, KS and in that family since. His daughter, Anne Barnes Jennings introduced it to SSE many years ago. MLPO is a deep pink color with 12-20oz beefsteak fruits, 75-80 DTM for me, PL of course, indeterminate, very productive with a very rich complex taste and texture. Best regards, Bill |

Hi John,
I can not attest to it being an aphrodisiac or not but perhaps someone should cross it with Korney's XXX! Perhaps a few of these names may fit the bill.... Missouri XXX Love XXX Pink Love XXX Love Jeff |

Hi
I grew Missouri Pink Love Apple this year and it sure does work. Very dense, meaty, handful of a pink, with superb shelf life, great for a pink, and complex, sweet, fruity taste in line with a very good pink. But for the addition to the family, can't complain about this one at all. 8.5/10pts. |
