I came here confident I was an "expert". I found out within a couple days I wasn't even close. BUT I still had the basics down pretty good. 40 years of growing does that. But the cool part was this: It made me scour the literature all the harder so I could again reach that "expert" status once again. Read everything I can, test everything I can, study everything I can, I even have been calling my local State University soil science Phd professor and asking him so many obscure questions until I am quite sure he wishes I would either go away or enroll in college again! Why? Because you make a claim here, you better be able to back it up! Someone out there knows all about that obscure point more than you for certain! And by you, I mean me!

That's what this site will do to you! It will consume your life like an addiction! But it is a good addiction that leads to healthy home grown food!
