I can't really say either if there is anything wrong. I see what you are saying about the thinner stem at the base.
Dilute hydrogen peroxide does work. 1 part 3% h2o2 plus 2 parts water. Small spray bottle. Spray the entire top of the media and the seedlings around the base. Label the spray bottle and keep it in the fridge. |

It is a way to try to kill fungus if present. So if you have some mild damping off going on, it may bring some help.
Regarding the yellowing bottom leaves. Are you sticking a toothpick or something down a inch or two into your cups before you water to see if the soil is moist or dry? The soil should be dry before you water. Too much love can be as bad as not enough. |

I just saw this thread and agree that it may be due to over-watering. I had a few pepper plants that were thinner at the bottom of the stem. I moved them to a larger solo cup, buried them deep, and now they look happy and healthy. This might help you as well?
