Did you know a jack rabbit is really a hare?

Oh no. My cousins in Italy do that.... I'll pass.

Seems all the new construction has driven the coyotes further north. We did have a partial rabbit carcass in the yard that was dismembered with surgical precision. I suspect that was a bird of prey, owl or hawk perhaps. All that was left was the two rear wheels, the exhaust system, the tail, some frame parts and the fur.

One of my dogs likes to sniff the pellets out when we're walking and eat them. I don't know if they make good fertilizer but they seem to make tasty treats.

Rabbit, Jack Rabbit or hare?

Until last year, I thought Road Runner was a Plymouth inspired by a cartoon. I had no idea it was a real bird. I digress....

I dont know where they are living, but I suspect someone in the neighborhood is feeding them. But the population has been out of had since I moved into this house 18 months ago.
