I do think in Russia people think of their tomatoes as boys or girls- from some of that forum people talking
Where was there a picture showing it, whatever it is, was a bicolor, I guess I missed that.

I'm making lists of varieties in my data book all the time, so how the heck do I ID them as male or female and put a notation next to them in those lists?

I'm still waiting too, to hear how it tasted. Was it as good as it looks?

I do not understand that what he writes about. I wrote that the words are used in Slavic languages masculine, female and middle. Then the name of the tomato looks like this:
Mikado Oranzhevyi - masculine (Tania) - German Der
Mikada Oranzhevaya- female (Aelita) - German Die
Mikado Oranzhevoe- in German Das
I mean to say is that Mikado (Aelita) versus Mikado (Tania) it's not a typo one letter (o) on (a).
Mikada Oranzhevaya – Mikado Oranzhevyi
I think the difference is quite easy to see.

Vladimir, I give up trying to figure out which way is which with that Mikado/A thing. This post shows that some people think it is PL RL difference with A letter and some are saying that older seeds and current seed of Mikado are not the same in taste.

This tomato was nice, but a bit bland, and I did not save the seeds. For slicer orange varieties, Sweet Ozark Orange tastes better than the Mikado Oranzhevyi, if that was what this tomato is. That said, this is very early in the Ukraine year, and this is probably a hothouse tomato, which might affect the flavor, so I would not render a final verdict.
