Full Moon and Growing
I know there are a lot of people who believe different stuff happens during a full moon. I'm one of those people. I knew there was a full moon because
I could feel it. Monday, I looked at tomatoes growing on the vines that my wife and I looked at the evening before. It sure looked like a few tomatoes had doubled in size overnight. One of Tom's, "Banana Legs" looks like it doubled in size and a "Bradley" tomato looks the same. The blue tomatoes look like they are ready to be picked, but I'm not sure when to pick them? They've only been in-ground for a month now. Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blue looks like they need more time, but the Dancing with Smurfs are a glossy deep purple with a little bit of green on the bottom, so I'm thinking they are not ready yet. Today, we had yet another utilities repair person fixing our phone lines. He mentioned a couple times about our gardens. When he got the phone lines fixed, I showed him our garden. I asked him if he had ever seen a blue tomato? In a friendly way, he asked if I was colorblind? That's when I showed him Dancing with Smurfs. Then Black Krim/Cherry/Plum, GWRs, OWRs, YWR,... Lol, I've been up too long. I'm getting off-topic in the original post to this thread. I have enjoyed what all of you have brought to realization for me. If you have noticed rapid growth or anything during this full moon - please share. |

I actually had noticed a big spurt of growth in my tomato, chard and kale seedlings yesterday, I did not feel or know that it was full moon. I attributed the big growth to first 70+ day out here and also to the fact that the seedlings were ready for such growth since they have been hardening out in the sun for last week. To contrast with that, the seedlings that were inside under grow lights, did not show big spurt of growth. Also the pepper plants did not show big spurt of growth, whether inside or outside
