Macros from my patio garden
Got out my real camera (Canon EOS 7D) this past weekend and snapped some macro photos of the patio garden. We're growing thyme, Greek oregano, sweet basil, sage, two Tycoon tomato plants (one is a rooted branch from the main plant, and the picture of the tomato leaves below is from the baby plant), some annual cut flower seed mix I started indoors in February (so far we've seen celosia, zinnia, and a couple of bachelor's buttons), a potted Seto Satsuma mandarin tree (leaves pictured below, no fruit or blossoms so far), and our jalapeno plant is growing back after being decimated by a bad aphid infestation this past Spring (that's not damage or frass on the leaves, my husband just accidentally sprinkled some plant food on the actual plant and we hadn't rinsed it off). I thought the pictures turned out nice, so I wanted to share.

Very nice pics. I like the first leaf picture with the red veins.

Thank you! That's one of the red celosias (commonly known as cockscomb or plumed cockscomb). I love those leaves so much.

Thanks Worth and Dan! The orange tomato has been sitting on my counter all week and is looking deep red and mighty tasty! It'll probably get eaten tonight.
