ribbed pink is a brandy boy (BB), also have a few ark travelers off one plant. Cherokee purple (CP)
don't know why some of the BB come out ribbed? most are round/smooth |

think the cukes are supreme, bush, and straight 8. pickling and slicer. tried to can pickles last couple of years, but never could get the "crunch." so end up wasting a lot.

My mom always soaks cucumbers for few hours in cold water before pickling, very important. She adds horseradish leaves for crunch. Some people add current leaves.

never heard of that (HR leaves). there may be hope yet. like the vlassic type crunch. tried to salt and even added some of that "crisp" additive to no avail. tried several different recipes, but cuke was not crunchy in any scenario. always used fresh picked cukes (within two hours).
