Default Tomato Count

Well, I guess it's safe to say that this is a great tomato year! Tomato count thus far:
Early Girl- 141 (4 plants)
Omar's Lebanese- 46 (4 plants)
Cuostralee- 19 (1 plant)
Dr. Wyche's Yellow- 12 (two plants)
Pink Brandywine- 12 (one plant)
Black Krim- 8 (one plant)
Cherokee Purple- 11 (one plant)
Big Czech- 6 (one plant)
Time to stock up on bacon..

Lots of ripened pictures to come, replete with bacon, toast, lettuce, and mayonnaise...

have 20 plants with approximately 15+ nice sized tomatoes on most of them and many, many new ones coming every day. if the weather cooperates
it should be a bumper crop like last year was.
very disappointed with my 4 early girls. this has to be the 5th time I have planted them and they never come in early enough to merit my very limited space

Sorry to hear that Joe! This is my first year planting these- and I have to say, they have been the most productive plants I've ever grown. EVERY flower becomes a tomato, whether it's 95 degrees out or 70. Seems very disease resistant too- vigorous vines and wow do they go vertical! I pulled the first few suckers at the bottom early on, and it just shot up. Great plant for me!

Gardeneer- yep, these are green now. Includes the little fellers. The Early Girls are just crazy- what a plant! I've got some blight coming on with my Omar's, so I'm not sure how long this will last- coupled with 96 degree temps everyday..

I have never seen them come in particularly early either, but usually pretty prolific and reliable. I didn't buy many tomatoes this year (was gifted plants) so early girls are out of the garden for the first time I can recall. I think I will miss them come Sept, because usually they just keep on coming at the end.
