There was likely little bagging of blossoms of peppers for the MMMM swap. If people don't mind, maybe it will stay that way. If they do mind, I'll address requesting only bagged/isolated seeds.

One of my Bosque Blue Bumble Bee plants is some kind of mutant. I'm getting red tomatoes of several different shapes and colors, all with green shoulders. It doesn't look like anything worth saving.

And my Esmerelda Golosina is making saladette-sized fruit instead of the slicer that it is supposed to be.
Grightmire's pride is pink, can be large or medium, but is definitely heart shaped. Never red.

And I got mine right from JandL. Many of mine were off types from JandL, but not Esmeralda G.

Yep! It's making a comeback this year for me.

Personally, I don't mind at all. I'm quite happy with the Peach Habanero. The aroma and flavor are amazing, not to mention the heat! I turned the first three into jars of Habanero Gold Jelly tonight, and I'll be using a few others to make some hot sauce.

so I was growing a Taxi plant absurdly close to a Brandywine this year, the Taxi set fruit as a normal small 4 to 6 oz round fruits then the Brandywine took over and dominated the grow space... however the taxi refused to die even though it was a determinate variety. It flowered and set fruit fairly late in the season. The next fruit set was different however and although I only got about 6 tomatoes they were all roughly 6 or so oz and had the shape now of a mini brandywine, the meat was also more brandywine shaped and the flavor was significantly different, not Brandywine, not Taxi but awesome.

well, i finally got into the garden today after being gone nine days, and then working the next two days. one of my anna russian plants has tresses of elongated red cherry tomatoes on it. i double checked my garden log to make sure i hadn't missed something.
this was from my saved seeds from several years ago. i don't know if i am going to be able to determine what the cross is. i may have tossed the empty seed packet. the plant had one ripe fruit which i ate. flavor seemed alright, but i had been munching on some sun golds beforehand, so i probably couldn't judge the true flavor of the tomato. i will be saving seeds for future grow outs to see what i have here.

Growing Taxi next to Brandywine could not have had any effect on the flavor or shape of this years fruit, except for the fact that perhaps your plant then received less light. If it had less light, then that could have influenced the flavor of your fruit. But if you are implying that the plants cross pollinated which then caused the change in fruit for you, well that can not happen until the seed from the cross is grown out in another plant. The plant that you have has all of its genes and that is the only type of fruit that it can bear this year. The cross happens to the seed in the fruit, not the fruit itself.

My Not Mexico Midget has been pumping out small red cherries for ages. I only kept it for give-aways and to toss to my dogs as the flavor is ok (and better than the Yellow Pear growing next to it), but nothing spectacular. Yesterday, it rained hard all day long. Today, I picked a load of these little red cherries to give to my neighbor and was very surprised to see that none had cracked!

My NOT Gajo de Melon, a PL that I named Gato de Melon, grew much larger tomatoes this year. Unfortunately, the flavor was like that of a hairball.
