Burpee Supersteak

Has anyone tried this? If so what do you think of it as a slicer mainly for sandwiches?

I found it merely OK, nothing special. Lots of better ones out there, even including the venerable Big Boy.

Actually, my avatar is a picture of one that I grew. But, I agree with FarmerShawn. It's nothing to get excited about. It is closer to grocery store firm/hard flesh and only so-so on the taste.

Have grown it and a couple other large varieties from Burpees as well as most of the "big boy" types. As far as I am concerned Big Beef is a much better choice.
