I'll have to remember that bower & Worth. When I posted in another thread it went back to normal.

This is the tomato from the large Rosella Purple flower I posted a pic of in a previous post. Notice the smaller tomatoes growing, as if they are growing from the larger one. This is my first ripe one so not sure if it's the normal color for it, guess I was expecting it to look more 'purple'. It's 8 ounces. I know it doesn't look entirely ripe but it had softened enough I figured it was time to pick it. When big and ugly is actually good and beautiful:

German Pink on the left and New Big Dwarf on the right. Each are small for their variety. Had picked some nice tomatoes and peppers last weekend that I gave away but didn't have time to take pics first. Ate the German Pink for lunch today, the NBD maybe tomorrow.

Wish I would have taken a pic of the ones I gave away the other day. Much more impressive than these two. However, the German Pink had a nice taste to it. A little mild due to still being a little overwatered, with a hint of sweetness.

It's awesome and impressive to me to see you getting ripe tomatoes in January. I may have to try timing a 'winter garden' like this one year.

Hard part is waiting for them to ripen, even the cherry tomatoes (Riesentraube). It's given me something to do and look forward to through these winter months.
Looking forward to having some bell peppers and also Big Jim peppers in my next garden. While at the store last weekend I almost bought green peppers to make stuffed peppers but I couldn't do it. They looked a little too far gone to me. |

Elephant's Ear. The ones on this plant are a little shorter than the ones I grew when I lived in Omaha for some reason. They have better light now so that can't be the reason. It measures 4 1/2" long, 2" wide.
