So what probably happened to give you the three sprouts, which is what I think you are referring to means that several seeds were stuck together. Not a mutant. And it happens a lot that when saving seeds they can get stuck together whatever process one uses, and you can just take your thumb and first finger and go back and forth a bit to loosen up those seeds. I just sent out lots of seeds to my seed producers and although all of them are very experienced, but still I reminded them about stuck together seeds that had been sent to me,couldn't help myself since some of the seeds sent to me had enough seeds, barely, for only one person and I had no time to check for stuck together seeds.. I would never buy seeds from China, they claim to have everything even ones that are rare but I have bought stuff from China you just have to know what to get as someone else said. An example. I am making a very large dollshouse and frequently look for bits of décor for it. I found a jewelry box that was from a very well known and very expensive German manufacturer, there was one from a China seller. the pictures were identical, one was $30 plus shipping, the other was $2.50 with free shipping. I bought the Chinese one. With a magnifying glass I studied the picture of the German one and compared it to the cheap one and they were identical,in fact I would swear that they were both made by the same company. I have found this with many things so it pays to look, but not for seeds.

So you want to be an artist in China. Mass produced hand paintings china style. I wonder how much they get paid per painting. |

Years ago I worked for a furniture hardware distributor and the boss ordered this matching full leather living room set from China. Couch, love seat, recliner. He paid $600 for the set. I saw the same sofa in a local store a few months later for $1800. To this day I cant buy new furniture because of the ridiculous markup. Ofc its made like crap as well.

Furniture is over rated.
For years I used wood wire spools for end tables and coffee tables. All free. Slept on a mattress on the floor for years and had tons of money we just didn't care. Hippies you might say. One of my couches I used to have came off the sidewalk in front of a bank. I just dont feel like spending a fortune on stuff and worrying about it. Oh my god the cat is sharpening it claws on the new couch. Big deal. Worth |

I have seen "Rainbow rose seeds" on Amazon before. In the fine print it mentions that you will need to cut the white rose and then put it in colored water. (not to mention seeds? for a rose? really?) (anyone watch orange is the new black?) |

Somewhere I have that bag of 'heirloom tomato' seeds I bought from a Chinese ebay vendor some years ago. Still haven't got the nerve or space to try them out ...
Gardening is very popular in China and I wonder where the locals buy their seeds to make sure they get the real deal... |

some had 2 chambers,others had 3 or 4
I did save the seeds from the largest and started them this year, along with the original seeds. (sub arctic plenty) and I had to stake the plants. Last edited by slugworth; April 7, 2016 at 12:01 AM. Reason: stake em's |
