? About Texas Tomato Cage
Is Texas Tomato Cage still in business, busy, gone or worse bankrupt?
I've not received an order confirmation even though payment was processed. My email request for order update to TTC has gone unanswered. I called TTC and no answer and their voicemail is full and no message can be left. I ordered their tomato cages based on recommendations from this forum. It's been three weeks with no order confirmation. Trying to find out if they are busy or took my money and ran. I hope busy is the real answer. |

ha ha. no they did not take your $$$ and ran. small op in del rio, they will get it to you. waited a while one time and they always come through. they make in mex now and keep production to minimum and often back logged. despite recognition, still mom & pop - actually talk to the girl pictured on web site. back side of busy and think only ship 2x week.
nice ppl, but figure ain't no reason to be in big hurry waaaay down in del rio, seasonal bidness, and sippin' on sweet tea has relevance. further south in texas you go, the slower things move, esp. when you cross the border. enjoy your cages. |

Someone else ordered mine for me some time ago and it was in the winter.
I am glad they are just running at normal pace. Been to Del Rio many times but not since NAFTA. Worth |

Guess I ordered from them at a busy time of their year. No response to two different email addresses. No answer of their telephone. Voicemail is full, can't leave a message.
While I was looking forward to trying their cages, it is not meant to be and I am now in contact with the credit card company for a refund. |

Shipping UP TO 20 DAYS WEATHER SHIPPING DELAY! This was listed on their website today. They got some rain down there and while that doesn't sound like anything special, there ain't nothing growing to sop it up and very prone to floodin'. I've ordered three times through TTC and they have delivered. I once too had a big shipping delay and remember they weren't big on all this new technology - but they did arrive. Your order is probably the next batch out. Think I would hold my horses and give it time. Your CC will oblige cancellation at later date if for some odd & unknown things don't pan out. Patience is a virtue? Telling ya' though, things don't move fast down del rio. Think that town was in "No Country for Old Men," sleepy border town. Good Luck

My credit company tried to get my order going but in the end they even gave up and gave me my money back.
Leason learned. Don't try to buy these at peak season. I'll try again this late fall for 2017 use. Maybe Texas Tomato Cages won't be overwhelmed at that time. |

Well I dont know what the deal is. For one it can be a lesson in running a business. It doesn't matter how large or how small if only one of many things fall short it can ruin the business. Here are things I would change wit it. The website is old and antiquated and needs to modernize but without animation. Someone needs to answer the phone and or emails. I will not buy any product from anyone that wont answer the phone/call back or an email. There needs to be an order confirmation and a tracking number. It looks like she or they have became so busy they cant swim. This can ruin the business. Worth |

Thanks Deborah,
I started using that name back when I lived in Indiana. I have one child so the name was kind of two-fold. I got some stern looks when I wore a tee shirt with that name on it when I moved my son into Perdue University. I get a comment on it every couple years or so, mostly like yours. Glad to bring a smile your way. |
