Holy jeez - with the blistering MS heat, I am starting to believe that over-watering container tomatoes in MS is just not possible.

Everyday at 3 pm I look out and see my peppers and eggplants wilting. They look so sad. I feel sad. I feel better when I add water. But it is over watering. So most days I just look and feel sad. That is gardening discipline.

I did that yesterday with a particularly sad, wilty container tomato plant, only to find it still looking sad and wilty this morning .

Sometimes tough love doesn't work out so well! Of course I gave it a thorough watering this morning and apologized profusely

Linda

PS I should add that I am usually a chronic over-waterer.
