Aphids and early blight

This is the first year in a while having to deal with early blight.
I also have a heavy aphid infestation that will finally get pyganic tomorrow.

The aphids are concentrated on a few plants, and these are definitely the ones with the worst blight.
The leaves look oiled from the amount of honeydew from the aphids, and I think its preventing the daconil from working properly.
Just a dumb theory. Shouldn't have let the aphids get this far along, but was trying to keep it more natural.

Once aphids showed up. the green ones and the black ones with the wings, they infested my tomato plants (the black ones anyway) and the green ones attacked the pepper plants. I pruned the lower leaves of the tomatoes and chopped up about 1 cup that I added to 2 cups of water to a covered jar. Shook it up good and let it steep over night. Next day i strained the liquid into a sprayer and completely soaked the leaves, stem, and top soil with 2 applications. Completely aphid free now.

The alkaloids in the tomato leaves is toxic to the aphids and does no damage to the plants.
