Langley Ranch, For Imp you could just send her some bean seeds and she will know how to enter because she went through this last year. For newbies, you would either send them the seeds to pack up into small packets and send into Tormato (Gary) or you would send them in for them explaining that you a sponsor and are sending them in on someone else's behalf.

It is a fun swap! You ought to try entering it yourself.

Gary likes to keep the rules of the Mostly Mystery Mater Mailing a mystery and they are rather hard to figure out. The thread is here:

http://www.tomatoville.com/showthread.php?t=42196

and if you need help deciphering the procedure just PM me and I will try to help.

I don't have many bean varieties, but I can (partially) sponsor Imp if I can send in seed packs of just a few varieties. Is there a "how to" thread for the specifics of the bean swap?

MissS, thanks bunches, I'll check out that thread and see if I can figure it out.

And thanks to Worth, too, for an interesting thread.

Oh THANK YOU! She will be so grateful and now she can just sit back and take care of Rob. She was not going to enter the swaps at all until I told her that I was going to sponsor her again.

Gary has not posted a "how to" yet. It comes to us in bits and pieces but is usually in place by September. It is not posted in just one post, it keeps evolving as he goes along. Just follow the above 2016 MMMM thread and the format will be revealed. PM Imp, she participated in the bean swap last year. She will be glad that you are sponsoring her and she knows the bean swap procedures far better than I do because I do not enter into it.

Thank so much once again!

Yesssss... I've been following the MMMM threads closely, borderline obsessively. Just wasn't sure about any of the bean rules (skipped reading any of the 2014 or 2015 beany posts).

kchd, Tormato's swap parties have NO rules. And MissS is right, it's hilarious how every year newbies try to figure out what the mmmm swap is about, because it indeed is a mystery. Here he describes the bean swap in post #12

It is one of the threads here I have absolutely no use for or interest.
Not that it is a bad thread but it involves too much stuff for me to deal with.

If you're talking about the MMMM thread, I was like you once -- no use and no interest.

Then one day, when I had nothing else to do, I got curious...

I opened up the Pandora's Box of the tomato world.😄😄😄

Perhaps somebody here will sponsor you in the swap just to enlighten your horizons.

Trust me I have had a ton of different tomatoes too many tomatoes.
I just dont want to be obligated sending seeds back and forth.
I am not a person that will say they will do something and then not want to or not do it.

Ooo, thank you Aerial for the link! I'm straight on the 'mater "rules" just not on the bean "rules"

I've been a seed swapper for years (even though I've only recently joined TVille). I love trading and giving seeds (aka enabling). I admit it, I'm addicted. Lol

"Hi, I'm Katie and I'm an addict."

"Hello. Katie."

"This is not my first TA meeting. I'm still not clean but I know I need help."

"You've come to the wrong place, Katie."

I may have admitted my addiction, but I refuse to get help.

Watch out, duck, or I'll send you more tomato seeds!

You may not be ready yet, but I predict that in another year or two, when you can't find your house for the maze of beds, you will finally reach bottom.

Oh pfff! Who am I fooling? Even I don't believe myself.

BTW, I want to try New Big Dwarf again, and have only one seed left.

"Hello, Dennis."
