You're welcome! I do the same, liberal amounts on both pieces of bread! I've even thought about injecting some after the BLT is put together.

Any of you guys get a hamburger with just mayonnaise on it?
I do and I am disgusted as to the small little dab they put on just one bun and I cant stand ketchup with it. I have to ask for more mayo and then I need some for my fries also, they just star at me like idiots. Drives me nuts I shouldn't have to explain what I want it for just give it to me. Worth |

Here was my BLT for lunch.
Homemade bread, JD's Special C-Tex, Black-seeded Simpson, thinly sliced Platinum Cucumber, some store bought onion and bacon. Hellmann's Mayo! |

Every time anyone mentions mayo on a burger, it reminds me of the scene from "The Whole Nine Yards" where Jimmy the Tulip (Bruce Willis) is scraping the mayo off his burger on the side of the table, angry because he specifically ordered it without.

Thank you! Have you ever watched Scooby Doo? My inspiration was the giant layered sandwiches that Scooby and Shaggy eat.

On burgers especially the joints use it, especially on the bottom bun, for structural reasons: the oil seals the bread to prevent it from soaking up the juices and disintegrating.

Jason's Deli used to be good but it is either my luck or they have went down hill I have no idea I dont eat there anymore because I dont go to Austin.
The last time I ordered a Reuben sandwich it was more like Reuben soup. I complained the manager came over what is wrong. The sandwich is soggy there is soupy bread and water all over my plate. It is supposed to be it has sauerkraut in it. Really, you ever heard of rinsing and wringing out the stuff before you put it on they didn't used to be this way here. This is the way they come. Well then I want my money back I'm not eating this soup. Worth |

I been a bit busy and haven't chimed in for a bit. Loving everyone's BLTs and the on going mayo debate. I hit the BLT wall tonight and tried this. Mini roasted tomato pizzas. Sliced heirloom tomatoes. Fresh Onion and jalapeño minced. Diced ham. Salt and oregano. Home made grated cheddar cheese. Topped with sliced cherry tomatoes. In the oven at 350 for 40 minutes. holly Molly they were delicious!

We usually buy Best Foods mayo, but the talk about mayo got me to want to try Hellmann's. I could't locate it at the store. Went to the website and found only one store in town sells it, Shopko. So I went and bought some. Tried a taste test against the Best Foods mayo but could not taste a difference. Decided to look at the ingredients and came across this on the Hellmann's "Known as Best Foods west of the Rockies". DOOH!
