I am growing Black Beauty (traditional globular shaped fruit) and Ichiban (lighter purple, long and slender fruit). Both types are flourishing in the MS heat.

Whoa - I watered Sunday morning before heading out of town for a couple of days - everything looked very much the same. I just pulled back in today - wow! The Pink Brandywine twins set 14 new fruit between the two plants. Pink Berkeley Tie Dye buds started opening. Mortgage Lifters set about 10 new fruit. Cocozelle zucchini, after having BER on all previous female flowers have set 3 fruits. The two black beauty plants in a shopping bag/bus pan have 12 new fruits set between them.

The past couple of days must have been in the sweet spot for my plants.

My Creole, however, just showed BER on a fruit - I guess you can't win them all.
