First ripe of the season
My first two mortage lifters.both from the same plant.funny how one is perfectly round and smooth and the other slightly ribbed.they are from the first truss.all the new ones look the same now.slightly ribbed.very good taste but a little over ripe.there are some real heavyweights up and coming.

It's so exciting to get the first tomato's! I have just started getting a couple Black Krim, Brandywine, and KBX in zone 5A/B. Hard summer to grow with high humidity, high daytime temps, and high nighttime temps.

BEAUTIFUL fruit. Look to be 10 oz. to one pounders? Very nice.
Funny, across the state very mild summer here. Not too hot, not too humid. Sunday we did not get above 80 here in August. Super mild summer a few hundred miles down highway 70. So sad, my determinates have started to winding down. |
