Tomato Tracker Software
Last spring I offered my Tomato Tracker software to forum users. I've updated the program a little and will be offering it for a time to download.
The software will run on Windows 7, 8 and 10. It will not run on XP. There is a form to fill out when you click the link, but the sole purpose of the form is for you to decide whether you want to notified by email for updates (also free). The form also tells me when members have finished with your downloads. When I get no responses for a while, I will delete the files from my web server. (It doesn't cost a ton to store these on the cloud, but if no one is downloading, it's a waste of money.) There are two links on the download page, one for the full program and one for an update for users who have the software already installed. Improvements: 1. You can now store 2 pictures with each of your tomato records. (Whole and sliced maybe?) 2. You can move your data file anywhere you would like and connect your program to it. 3. The general search has been improved. 4. There is a link on the front page to allow you ask a question about the software so I can respond directly instead of your having to post your question. (I will also respond to questions here.) Here's the link: Tomato Tracker Program and Update Download |

Glad to hear about the added pictures, Mike! I look forward to downloading the update when I get a chance. It's an easy to use program with nice options.

Thanks Mike. I have downloaded it. I had forgotten that I have to disable my virus protection to do it but after I did that it was easy to do. Are you going to do the same thing for the Pepper Tracker?

Thank you for sharing this with all of us. It is a very welcome tool to organize the mess that Gary has blessed us with...

Revisions
We already have revisions to the Tomato Tracker software.
1. I've added a search box on the Varieties screen for those of you that have a ridiculous number of tomatoes. Just begin to type the name of the tomato in the search box and it will find the closest match. When it matches, press Enter on your keyboard to go to that variety. 2. Revised the report for plant lists. If you click the Plant Lists button on the opening screen or click the plant list year on the Varieties screen, you can choose the plant list year you want. When you print the report, it will print the information for the variety as well as any notes you entered for that plant list. To enter a note, from the Variety screen, select the variety and assign it to a plant year if it isn't already assigned. Click the plant year in the box on the right and you will see the plant list for that year. Click on the variety and enter any notes you have for that year for that variety. You can basically enter any information you want up to 64000 characters. Click the link in the first post and enter your email on the form and check that you are downloading the update. If you already submitted your email for update notifications, do not check the box at the bottom. One last thing. The update file is TTUpdate_105.exe. If the file name is wrong when you click the link to download it, refresh the screen by clicking the refresh symbol at the top or press F5 on your keyboard. |

Hi Whistech,
I develop software for a living, but this is my first "hobby" project. I hope it is a useful tool for you. |

I have downloaded and tried the new revision and I really like it. It is nice to be able to keep previous year's tomato info in there but only print out what I growing the current season since like many I rotate what I grow from year to year.
Having that 2nd picture will be very helpful for those working on the Dwarf Project because they could have a picture of the leaf type and well as the tomato. |

TTS program I downloaded. Originally I could not use it because I had Windows XP. I have Windows 10 now. Thank you very much.

I believe that those interested in the software have had time to download the software and/or the latest update.
I will leave the software link up until the end of March. I will continue to offer updates for those who asked that I keep their emails as those updates become available. |

Last day to download
Today is the last day that the Tomato Tracker download will be available this spring. If you have already downloaded and ask that I keep your email address, I will let you know if any updates to the program are available and how to download and install them.
Thanks for the interest and I hope the software proves to be valuable to you. Mike |
