Thanks Worth! I was glad our soil warmed enough to plant out and the weather looked plenty warm for the next 7 days, the peppers and tomatoes were starting to hit the top of the cold frame.

While we didn't have damaging winds thankfully, we had 3 episodes of 40-50 mph wind gusts yesterday with thunderstorms. The baby tomato and pepper plants got the #*!$ kicked out of them, but they are all still standing today, a couple had a damaged branch that needed removal, but overall they made it. Now unfortunately some below normal temperatures for the next few days.

The first tomato flowers opened today! 7 days behind last year. Two varieties tied for this distinction Teensy F4 yellow cherry (both plants I'm growing opened flowers today) and Silvery Fir Tree.

The tomatoes did not like the cool, wet, cloudy stretch we had a week or so ago. Some leaf spot developed (I diagnosed as gray leaf spot, not my usual septoria)--but aggressive pruning, copper spray, and warmer weather with sunshine helped eliminate it. The tomatoes are growing nicely now.

With the cool weather the last 2 weeks I see A LOT of fused blossoms that will be opening in the coming week. Probably will be plucking those off the plants.

I am trying all new varieties myself, with the exception of Isis candy ( only cherry tomato I like). So far, so good with starting all plants from seed, and trying grow bags for the first time.

Woooooo!!! The past few days have already made a noticeable difference, luckily we pretty much missed out on the scattered showers/storms on Monday/Tuesday--we only had trace rainfall both days.

More flowers will be opening in the coming days.

I did find my first pea-sized tomato forming on the Bloody Butcher plant...yeah!!!

80s and sunshine today. These joined the flower opening party:

Teensy F3 chocolate cherry plant 1 (dwarf project)
Emmy F2 RL (plant 2) (dwarf project)
Garnet (first in-ground tomato to flower)

19xF2 plant 1 (micro dwarf)

Had a few more join the flower party today. Still loving the Silvery Fir Tree tomato. Starting to load up on flowers too!

Ooooo, that Silver Fir Tree is a pretty plant. I am going to be watching that one. In fact your whole garden, as usual, is looking beautiful.

Hopefully now that the temperatures are warm, it will stay moderate instead of soaring into the 90's or above. I do hope that it is a perfect growing season for you.

Thanks Patti! After a challenging start things have leveled off and are going well. We actually missed all the rain and storms Saturday morning and overnight. I'm going to have to water some actually. But that's OK, less favorable conditions for fungus. In fact think I'll do some more preventative spraying things are looking healthy and I'd like to keep it that way!

Just sharing a few. Saw these small fly or wasp type things on our Wisconsin 55 Gold plant. It was hard to get a picture but they didn't strike me as bad so I left them. Orange Jazz tomato growing some dense foliage and flowering nicely and my micros I've got in pots this year.

I am new to growing the dwarf tomatoes. Trying Big green dwarf, dwarf summer sunrise and sleeping lady. It seems they are on the slow side of producing flowers compared to other plants that I am growing (bloody butcher, striped german, marmande and others). Just wondering if this is usual for the dwarves or am I expecting too much?
BTW, most other plants have almost reached the top of wire mesh now, will post new pics soon.
