Which end is up?
If you pick a tomato before it is completely ripe does it matter which end is up when you let it ripen for the next few days? Should it be rotated or repositioned daily? Does it matter at all?

Tomatovator,
Stem side down can sometimes help. I've had tomatoes (the 1-2 pounders) ,ripening stem side up, get flat and bruised by the combination of weight and a more ripe blossom end. Tormato |

This just came up a day ago on TV iVillage Life show. A lady "expert" was recommending stem side down.
My personal opinion is that this seems to be working against the nature of things. I guess it is simple enough to test out and see which way is better. dcarch
