Daconil Overdose?????

No, it's not real Daconil. As a matter of fact, I don't even remember the brand name, but the active ingredient is 12.5 % chlorothalinol. I followed the instructions exactly, which call for it to be mixed at a rate of 1 tablespoon per gallon. I apply it with a 2 gallon hand sprayer.

So are you guys mixing 29% chlorothalinol at 1 Tablespoon per gallon? If that's the case, no wonder I had so many problems with Early Blight. It sounds like I've been using a watered down Daconil wannabe.

How long does chlorothalinol keep in the concentrated form? If I mixed the 12.5% at 2.5 tablespoons per gallon instead of 1, would that be the right concentration?

That would be pretty close... the only thing that you don't know about are the INactive ingredients if they'd cause any harm at 2.5x... my guess would be try it on a plant and see, if it seems ok, then spray away. Of course, legally, that would be against label "rules & regulations." But I won't tell anyone...
