I snapped a few pics this morning while checking on the plants. We haven't had any significant rain in a few weeks and it's dry. We have a front coming in Thursday night and that should help them grow. I haven't watered except when I transplanted and if this keeps up I might have to start.
I tried the new Goliath Giant Early Bush Hybrid because it's supposed to be earlier than Early girl but I think Early girl will give up the first ripe tomato. These were all sprouted and transplanted the same time so it's a good test. Here's Early Girl, it's hard to tell but that big tomato is starting to blush These are Big Beef Hybrid, every plant is loading up with 5 trusses and they're at the top of my poles so I'll be making a better trellis system to use the lower and lean method. This is in the shorter row of tomatoes on the right in the first pic. Here's a ribbon vine to a multi bloom flower. It's an F-1 cross that should grow a huge tomato, Big Zac X Domingo called Wixom Slammer. It didn't get fully pollinated and will be smaller than it could've been. This is another F-1 with a smaller ribbon vine, Mega Marv X Domingo called Magadom. I don't think this one is pollinated, it's all closed up so I'll wait to see what happens. I'll make a cross with these two plants to try to save that ribbon vine megabloom trait, it should be fun to see how big a tomato these plants will make.

Thanks Bower! I'm not sure when I planted but it was earlier than most and I got lucky with the weather.
I picked squash last night. I missed some and have a few big ones. Zucchini is famous for that hiding game.

The verdict is in, Early Girl beat out Goliath Giant Early Bush Hybrid and will be the first ripe tomato. Goliath isn't even starting to blush.
Another EG blushing on a different plant Goliath Giant Early Bush Hybrid still green, at least they're nice sized tomatoes. I rigged up a trellis system to hang tomatoes so I can use the lower and lean method. I used 1/2" EMT cut to 8.5' and hammered in the ground 2'. Them used 3/4" PVC "T's" and a short piece of pipe to slide over the EMT to hold a 3/16" cable. I drove in street sign poles 3" deep and secured the EMT with chain link fence bottom tension wire to hold the end EMT pole from leaning when I put tension on the cable. I have a turnbuckle on the other end to tighten the cable. I'm an idiot!!! After noticing one of the Big Beef tomatoes started to blush I realized that it's not Big Beef. Somehow I grabbed Big Beef labels instead of Big Red Cherry labels when I transplanted earlier this year. I hope these tomatoes taste great because I have 15 cherry tomato plants growing. URGH!!! and the persimmon tree is loaded with fruit.

Send me 3/4" and I want it to lightly drizzle so it soaks in.
We're supposed to get it tomorrow.
