I have pulled 12 inch plants out of the ground and moved them.
They came through just fine 100%. |

I sometimes dig up plants to fill skips and they grow fine. I have skips now but I'm letting Mother Nature take the wheel. Some are too close and the row has gaps but it'll all work out in the end.

Rajun,
I planted the Choppee plants at about 14" inch intervals. I planted the Bush Cowhorn plants spaced at about 5' intervals to make sure they get as much space as they need to bush out as much as they want. I may have spaced both wrong, but I will know for sure how to space them next year. The Cowhorn plants will have asparagus ferns growing between them. |
