How did the Cherokee Carbon do this year as compared to others 2019. Down in Columbia SC. Big fight with heat and humidity every Summer. This year; July through August 95+s most days with afternoon thunder showers. Horrible growing conditions. Looking for plants to grow in my environment. Any helpful info. appreciated.

I'm growing it now via seeds from Eyegrotom. Seeds were sown late August and they are very hearty seedlings. Temperatures highs are 85-87 with a real feel in the mid 90s.
It was my first plant to be planted out along with Damsel in an Earthbox. It has buds already. Our night time lows are still too high so I'm glad it isn't flowering yet. |

Update - November 13th. Growing in an Earthbox along with Damsel.
First large tomato to set fruit. 3 tomatoes have changed color; I didn't even notice the blushing stage. I picked one and it only weighs 5 oz and is more orange/red than brown/purple. It is totally even in color. I will get a picture of it. I have a bunch of ripe cherry tomatoes so I can contrast the difference in color with Reds/Pinks and Brown (SunChocola). For those who have grown it before, what color was it? |

It was a brownish red tomato with faint brownish green stripes.
