A Rosella Question
I see that there is a Rosella Crimson and Rosella Purple dwarf tomatoes out there and I was wondering if either taste like Rosella cherry. Rosella cherry has become my favorite cherry as far as flavor and I'd love to find a tomato of larger size that tastes like it.

I have not grown the cherry, but I have grown crimson and purple and purple is well regarded.
Lots of fruit on Rosella Purple in my garden already, although none ripe. Oops! One of those may have been Malee Rose. Last edited by Shrinkrap; July 11, 2021 at 10:20 PM. |

I’ve grown both Rosella Purple and Rosella cherry. Both great tomatoes, the dwarf project ones are not in anyway related.

Though I haven't tried the 'Rosella' cherry, I've grown both Rosella Purple and Rosella Crimson... and neither one tastes similar to the other (despite the fact that they're both a result of the same cross). But they are excellently flavored and very highly recommended.
I'd encourage you to try both - they are very much worth your time and effort. |

They all taste good! I agree that Rosella is an excellent tasting cherry, one of the best cherries out there .

I also agree Rosella is wonderful. I have grown Garnet it also was very good (but I like Rosella better). I have been so impressed by Gourmet Genetics (breeders of these), I need to try their Black Opal and Sweet Aperitif. Last year late August/early September I was harvesting 50-80 Rosella tomatoes every other day!
