Thank you Barbi for your kind remarks.
I have uploaded the articles for the most of the black and yellow/orange vars; started working on reds and pinks. Still lots of work , but I am getting there...

Really a wonderful resource, Tania. I will be referring to it a lot when picking new varieties to grow. I know how much work it is to get something like this pulled together. Thanks!

A good job, Tania!
Remark: Morkovnyi (Carrot-Like) is not the same as Serebristaya El (Silvery Fir Tree)! Morkovnyi usually has much taller stems and larger fruits. I grew them side-by-side this year. I've heard Morkkovnyi is an improoved commercial strain of SFT!

Carrot-Like came to the US way back in the mid to late 80's and was offered by Seeds Blum, now out of business. I got my seeds from them. And when SFT came along I grew that as well, and when I saw the foliage I said wait a minute, I've seen this before, so the next year I planted both SFT and Carrot-Like and they were identical. If there's some new improved version of SFT and it's significantly different from the original, why are they using the same name?

Dear Carolyn, I'm not sure you've got both original Serebristaya El (SFT) and Morkovnyi (Carrot-Like) when they came to USA in 1980s-1990s! In my experience people here and there usually get mixed up with these 2 varieties with similar odd-looking foliage. Many of our retired oldmen don't even remember which varieties they have been growing and saving seeds for many years. They can just mark them "red, round, tasty, tall plant". So they can easily name SFT as Carrot-Like (as the foliage can tell them) and send these so called Carrot-Like seeds to USA or give to Marina Danilenko who used to send seeds to SSE in the past
I must add Serebristaya El (SFT) is very rare here nowadays. And it's good you keep it popular there abroad. Morkovnyi is still populat here and distributed by one major Russian seed company Aelita. But I should say it again. I've seen several big differences in the height of plant and the size of fruit while growing both varieties side-by-side. Morkovnyi looked like a double size of Serebristaya El for me. And the origin of my SFT seeds is USA Thanks, Tania. You will be laughting but I have been dreaming about doing such kind of database in runet (Russian internet) for about 5 years so far. But there was no suitable database-constructor
