Front row of determinates...

I want to grow a front row of determinates and the main row behind them will be indeterminates. I'm thinking that as the season progresses the determinates in the front will stay smaller than the ones behind them and by the end of the season will not be competing with the indeterminate varieties for sun and nutrients. I've started Marglobe, Cosmonaut Volkov, Lime Green Salad, Bush Big Boy, Campbells 1327, Heinz 1439 and New Big Dwarf for the front row. What do you think?

Sounds good but if you have plenty of sunlight it wont really matter.
They will all do just fine.

The problem is that I'm planting in a 4'X17' bed that buts up against the south wall of my house. There is planty of sun but not a lot of space. I'm going to try getting 8 ind. and 8 det. varieties planted in there.

Sounds like a plan. I also highly recommend Clear Pink Early.

I squash in Rio Fuego Nana every year whereever I have room on the row edge. Quite successful.
