My 1st baby tom
greetings all
Well I have a baby mater. It is about a pellet size and is a result of a cross. How weird is the first is also the only cross of a late blight resistant red (pollen) on a yellow bi-color (mother) I will try this season. Any guesses what the F1s will look like? Wild "baby maker" Life |

Hey KC
The line is from 1957, bred from wild mexican species, for resistance to phytophthora infestans (late blight) Determinate vari red tangy.OP 75 days 4-5 inch maters. I also have a baby on the said plant pollenated by a OP Ind Red/Pink beefstake 1-2 lbs Heirloom. I don't know what I'll get in the F1's on either cross but what the hey, I had blooms and couldn't resist a try, it could have been anything at that point, it just so happens these were the first plants to flower and my itch to mess with sumthang got me.
