How is your bi-color grow out going? (Working name - Emma)

Don, I will be planting a couple of seedlings in the garden in the next day or two. They are both PL.

Thanks for the seeds! I sent you seeds for a couple of varieties I like a week or two ago, even though you didn't ask for anything in return. Hopefully at least one of them is something you might want to try and don't already have.

I have 8 of the bi-color plants going as well (all PL).

I also grow all of the SUPER hot peppers, so I have over 100 pepper plants to baby-sit as well.

For those of you that are growing out my mystery bi-color, I started this thread for us all to compare notes.

I think I have about 15-20 people testing this seed this year.

The first report I got is that it is a potato leaf plant. That makes me believe that it may have come from Marianna's Peace. I grew many PL plants last year, but few in the area that my daughter reported finding the "striped" tomato in.

The working name will be "Emma" since she is the one that found the fruit.

So out of the 12 I have growing, 11 are PL and one is somewhere between PL and RL.
I'll post picts soon.

They died in the frost that hit this area.

I have more seed though.

Will try them again in late June. Too late to try again right now. Oh, they were all PL.

I just started my seeds a few days ago. I think I only have 2 sprouts so far and no true leaves yet.

I probably will have more seedlings than I can grow myself. I give away the extras to friends, coworkers and whoever will take them. I like to give a description and when possible a picture of what the tomato should look like to the adoptive tomato parents. Can you give me a description as to size of tomato, taste, any info is appreciated. Did you get a picture of it?

unfortunately I did not get any picts.
It resembled lucky cross (never grown it on this property so it's not an LC or an LC cross)
The taste was very sweet, more of an oblate fruit, and not too large. about the size of a Paul Robeson.

My tomatoes are about 3' high now. The plants are very healthy -- straight stocky stalks, potato leaf....

They are just beginning to bloom and the flower looks like a double-type flower (double the # of yellow petals) versus a single-type flower like some of my other tomatoes.

Also, it looks like 4 or 5 tomato blooms on one truss.

How's everyone else's doing? I will try to take a couple of pics to post soon.
