I have seen the ornamental Ipomoea batatas set flower and form seeds ,but I am not sure with the Ipomoea batatas cultivated for their edible tubers, they will probably set flower and form seeds too.
Are you trying to get some seeds ? You can grow Ipomoea batatas easily from shop bought ones, just let it for shoots (called slips ?) and once the shoot grow to about 15 to 20cm, cut it off and root it in a glass of water and plant these rooted stem later. |
