Sorry to hear about the late blight Terry.
That Scabitha is gorgeous. How's it taste?

I'm glad to see you got some beauties despite the blight! I like that Chocolate Stripe. How does it taste?

Terry,
Still doing the Monkey A-- slicing I see. Nice maters in spite of the LB. Any luck with the BW?

Len.....Your BW is doing great. Just waiting for some to ripen up.
Remy.... I really like the Chocolate Stripes. One of the few that avoided the blight. Very productive and not prone to any cracking. Very nice mild taste. Saving lots of seed for this one so hit me up later. KyG....ditto on the CS and Peg's round orange is very nice too. Solid and meaty. Barbee....Scabitha has been a surprise. I didn't expect it to taste like much for some reason but it is very good. Although the above tomatoes were all good and CS is gorgeous, the only real stand-outs so far are: JD's Special C-Tex (I think I finally found a purple I like better than Carbon). Liz Bert..another great purple. Granny Cantrell's German Red...this one is a PL variety from Vgary. Soooooo good! For me a stand out is when I taste it and say "OMG".. So sometimes a tomato is very good but not "OMG" good.

I love that you harvested such beauties in spite of LB, good for you! My ears always perk up when somebody raves about a variety as you did with the Granny Cantrell's and JD's ...I think I'll have to do a little research on those now!

Terry, just curious, but in your first post you just said blight, not early blight, not Late Blight, so what disease or diseases do your plants have ?
I ask b'c in the past week several folks have brought me leaves and fruits to look at thinking their plants had Late Blight and in not one case was Late Blight a problem. For all three folks it was a combo of Early Blight and Septoria Leaf Spot but those foliage diseases had moved very fast indeed in terms of destruction. My fingers are crossed for my plants out there b'c Freda who takes care of them and does the spraying hasn't been here since last Wednesday. But she has a darn good excuse since her son was married on Saturday.

I do believe now it is not the late blight. I think it's Septoria Leaf Spot. The bottom half of most of them have died off. Probably some early blight too. I did pull about 10 plants that just kicked it but the rest are just standing there half dead. I am taking some leaves into the OSU extension office and have them check them to be sure.

Terry, not bad, not bad at all. Mine are starting to come in as well. Just need to take some pics. How was that Olive Hill? Does it taste as good as it looks. Ami
