Todays Mater Pickin and a question
I will have picks soon(my camera is on the blink). Had a nice mix of Cosmonaut Volkov,Thessaloniki and some pink Brandywine. Been really enjoying these three. Al-Kuffa is growing still and should make it before first frost.
Now the question. I know that it has been asked but can someone tell me when the Kobacha Squash should be picked? It has a nice dark green color.Vines are have powdery mildew but are still alive. Kevin |

The rind should be fairly resistant to a fingernail and starting to dull in color...The stem
where it attaches should look corky and dry if that makes sense....If frost is not likely it usually doesn't hurt to leave them on the vine .... Jeanne |
