Default the ugliest tomato

It snowed last night in southerrn Minnesota, but I salvaged one last pick the day before yesterday .... including this beast. With both a nose and a tail, and ravaged by the late season pox, it is my candidate for Ugliest Tomato 2009.

Now which is the nose and which is the tail?

I can't say it's the ugliest I've ever seen, but sheesh...don't go putting that thing anywhere close to fresh milk.

Shaving it's tail and teaching it to walk backwards, won't help.

A prime candidate for sure. Does anyone know what causes those appendages?
