Default Question about Ornamental Grasses

If you take the seed from an ornamental grass and germinate it, will it grow true (ie. look the same as the plant you took it from)?

Yes they will, at least hardy pompas grass does. I picked a few seedlings out of a gravel parking lot and have been propagating them for 10 years.

Maiden grass I'm not sure about but I have started them from seed and they are easy but start out very tiny.
