I agree with you that tomato abbreviations would make a great sticky, especially for us non-native English speakers

PL=potato leaves

I guess that I can see the need for all these abbreviations and acronyms where time is critical. But I am a born rebel and wonder why we can't just take the time to enjoy the moment and communicate properly. Ethnicities have reduced the number of words we can use and most of the words we had always used are now with new meanings that are usually derogatory to someone.

How sensitive we are, and yet insensitive. I think that soon, there will be numbers we can't use.

End of rant.

From the beginning: Vorlon, Potato Leaf, 1600 Growing Degree Days, 80 to 85 days maturity, good production, 7 to 10 ounce tomatoes, 8.0 flavor on a scale of 1 to 10.


for comparison, I rate Brandywine 9.25 flavor.

For comparison, only one tomato has ever got an 11 on the 1 to 10 scale and that tomato is not available yet, but hopefully will be soon.

i've got seeds for vorlon to try this year. i have to admit that, as a babylon 5 fan, i bought it because of it's name, lol. if it gets an 8 for flavor, i will be happy with that as well.

a tomato that got an 11? better than brandywine? what was it??????
