15-5-10 is a good ratio, but it still depends on the fertilizer. Is this soluble, granular, or slow release? I like to use a slow release fertilizer (like Osmocote) in conservative amounts, and supplement with a soluble fertilizer as I feel is needed. I also use a micronutrient supplement. The micro supplements can be hard to find, but I've seen slow release pellets that contain micros in the big box stores lately--Osmocote Plus and Dynamite.

I use organicare
http://www.horticulturesource.com/or...order-p5920/?= and also: http://www.botanicare.net/organicare...are-pure-bloom they are both slow release pellets also cranfords pelleted compost: http://www.cranfordinc.com/Products.htm#Cranfords Granulated Compost I start with about 120 cc's of the 6-6-4 with calcium and 120 cc's of cranford. then when getting ready to blossom, I am using the 1-5-4. I am not doing any foliar this year-if I am using a soil drench, I use a 3-2-2 fish and seaweed combo. Is working well for me. Remember that your fert gets washed out of the container with watering, so the fert requirements of containers is very different than in the ground.
