Lemon Squash

I am growing lemon squash and obtained seed from Baker Creek Heirlooms. I have hybrid varieties in the garden that are showing plenty of young fruit, but I am only getting male flowers on my Lemon Squash. The main stems are close to a foot now and it seems like more female flowers/fruit should be showing. Does anyone know about growth habit with this variety? Does it take a while to produce fruit? Should I pull them up and stop wasting space etc....?

It is normal that it produces several male flowers first, but then it will produce both flower in the sametime. The plant is not exacly bush, mine reached 2.5meter at the end of it's growing season. If it grows close to a fence, train it up (tied it up accordingly) or build a tripod so that it grows vertically, leaving some space for other plant.
