Hmm... I don't think this is Pink Boar

Here's a pic of my Pink Boar fruit. It's not quite fitting the description, but it's pretty darn cute! Any ideas?

Maybe you got a Tie Dye Heart seed instead of the Pink Boar.

Could be. The seed is from 2008, I raised three plants and gave two away to friends. Theirs are still green too but exhibit the expected traits. Funny that I ended up with the weird one. I'm looking forward to seeing what I have.

Sprout- nice to see another Santa Clara County poster! I'm not growing Pink Boar but I am growing Berkeley Tie-Dye Heart. The picture of the fruits shows similar traits of BTDH with their heart shape and stripes. But the fruits do look more uniform than that of a heart. Ya just never know until they reach full size and reveal their color. Keep us posted!

So here's a pic of the pink boar, finally ripe! Worth the wait, they're really good. They have kept that blunt point on all of them. A friend is also growing pink boar from the same seed batch, and his are a small round and a little lighter in color than mine.

The tomatoes here sure took their time to do their thing this year. I've also been hit with the psylids that Ray has. Not the best year, but I've had some good stuff. Jaune Flamme and Pink Boar are up there on the favorites list.

I've noticed a lot of Brad's varieties are on the tart side. I didn't have room
for Brad's Black Heart, Beauty King or Black & Brown Boar this year. I did plant
Pink Berkley Tie-Dye, Sweet Carneros Pink and Pink Boar. Will plant the other
3 varieties next year.
