Big Cheef--Late but a grand entrance
You just never know when someone will show up for the party. We started several tomatoes the last week of March including some Big Cheef seeds that Amideutch was so kind to send us. Out of the Big Cheef seeds we got several regular leaf and one potato leaf from the regular leaf packet and only one of the potato leaf came up from the other packet. A few weeks back, my husband started some marigolds in one of the seed trays he found that still had a bit of seed starting mix in it and this morning while out in the garden, I found this little guy peeking up through the marigolds.
I'd kept watering this mix through the end of June in hopes that another would show up but in July had given up. Evidently he wanted to make his entrance a bit more spectacular. |

Looks like you found the other potato leaf. Ami

Very nice! Our weather was so crappy this spring that we couldn't get our garden started till almost a month later than usual. I'm hoping for a late arrival of Mr. Frost so we can get a good harvest in before he shows up.
