Garden II: The Sequel

* Split existing 6 x 16 bed (on the right) into two 3 x 16 beds. Beans, Cole Crops.

* Add two new 3 x 16 beds (one against the left fence, one along the back of the yard). Tomatoes and peppers.

* Current 4 x 8 watermelon bed becomes tomato bed.

Total number of spots for tomatoes at this point is 16. Not sure how I'm gonna limit myself to that!

I have one bed that is 6x8 and 6 is the most I'd plant there......

Looks great, Feldon! Although I must admit it's hard for me to concentrate on thoughts of gardening with that refreshing-looking pool right in the middle.

This morning I started digging up a patch of the yard at the edge of the patio. It should give me room for a couple more tomatoes.

After a hot day of tying up picking and pruning..that pool would look pretty good

i'm barely keeping up with my small spring/summer garden, and can't even fathom planning a fall one at this point. i wish i had your dedication, feldon.

You could float a raft in that pool and put some pots on it

Well, I just ripped up pretty much everything (See the Diseases forum under the "Anthracnose" topic) so I have a blank canvas as far as tomatoes and peppers are concerned. If I don't plant somethin', I won't get to eat somethin'.

I work for about 30 min, jump in the pool, work another 30 min, jump in the pool.

room - after seeing your pool / backyard,
I'd rather an upgrade !

This is about 40k gallons. The deep end is 9'.

I'm gonna keep the Cherokee Purple. Plant looks very healthy and still hanging onto 5 fruit. I keep saying 4 fruit because the stem that was growing one of the fruit was found bent in half one day. I tied it back into position with twine and so far that fruit isn't getting any bigger but it's not rotting either. Who knows what will happen.

Will post pics of the carnage today.
